Product Description:
- Prima D3TM 2000 IU is recommended for use when you have a normal intake of dietary calcium.
- Prima D3TM 2000 IU may be prescribed by your doctor to treat vitamin D deficiency.
- Deficiency of vitamin D may occur when your diet or lifestyle does not provide you with enough vitamin D or when your body requires more vitamin D (for instance, when you are pregnant).
- Prima D3TM 2000 IU may also be prescribed for certain bone conditions, such as thinning of the bone (osteoporosis), when it is given to you with other medicines.
How to use:
- Take Prima D3 2000 IU exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Normally, take one to two soft gel capsules daily with food during pregnancy and lactation for antenatal and/or postnatal care and/or treatment of vitamin D deficiency.
- In cases of vitamin D3 insufficiency or as a maintenance dose for the treatment of vitamin D deficiency.

Possible side effects
- Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
- Too much calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia)
- Too much calcium in your urine (hypercalciuria)
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):
Not known (I do not know how often these happen):
- Altered bowel movements.
- Wind
- Feeling sick (nausea)
- Stomach pain.
