Hydrocortisone butyrate 0.1% Lipocream

What Hydrocortisone butyrate is used for:

Hydrocortisone butyrate is used topically to treat a variety of skin conditions including:

  • Eczema of all types.
  • Dermatitis (itching) of all types.
  • Allergic dermatitis (dermatitis caused by skin irritants and allergies).
  • Psoriasis.

Do not use Hydrocortisone butyrate:

  • If you’re allergic to the active substances or any other component of this medicine.
  • If your skin condition is caused by an infection (athlete’s foot, herpes…)
  • If you have skin problems associated with syphilis (a sexually transmitted disease) or tuberculosis.
  • If the skin around your mouth is inflamed (perioral dermatitis).
  • If you have pimples or spots (acne).
  • If you have redness of the facial skin.

Warnings and precautions:

Talk to your doctor before using this medicine:

  • If you’re going to use it on your face or sensitive areas.
  • If you’re going to use it on large areas of your skin.
  • If you’re going to use it on skin folds or under a bandage.
  • If you are using it for psoriasis. It should be used for a short period of time.
  • Do not smoke or go near naked flames. There is a risk of severe burns. Fabrics that come in contact with the cream become easier to burn as well.

Possible side effects:

  • Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; itching; red, Swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing And Swallowing.
  • Or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Side effects include:

  • Skin thinning, redness, discoloration
  • Blurred vision
  • Suppression of the release of the stress hormones

How to use Hydrocortisone butyrate :

  • This medicine is suitable for adults and children.
  • This medicine is for external use.
  • Use as indicated by your doctor.
  • Wash your hands before and after use.
  • Apply a thin layer to affected area and slowly massage it.
  • Apply to affected area once or twice daily, but not more.

How to store Hydrocortisone butyrate :

  • Store at below 77°F (25°C).
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers To the last day of that month.
  • Dosage form and route of administration of Hydrocortisone butyrate 0.1% ointment, 0.1% Lipocream, and 0.1% scalp lotion should be prescribed according to therapeutic indication and Disease severity of each individual patient.
