Active ingredient:
How To Use
• To be taken as a whole tablet once daily before breakfast, unless another way is mentioned.
• Tablets should never be crushed
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose.
Indication
• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease
• Healing of erosive esophagitis
• Symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease
• Treatment of Helicobacter pylori eradication
• Prevention of NSAID associated gastric ulcer in patients at risk who require continuous NSAID treatment
• Treatment of Zollinger Ellison Syndrome and other pathological hypersecretory conditions.
Side Effects:
• Severe diarrhea
• Kidney problems such as decreased urination
• Bone fractures, particularly in the hip
• Low magnesium levels in the blood
Warnings:
• Always take the medication as directed by your doctor or pharmacist
• Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any medications or have kidney problems
• Consult your doctor before taking the medication if you are pregnant or nursing
• Do not take the medication if you are taking HIV drugs, antifungal medications, or antiplatelet medications
• Inform your doctor if you experience any of the side effects mentioned above or if you become dehydrated
• Remember to always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about your medication.
